Your Task:
There are 3 levels to this task. Complete each of them in order. You will learn about the different parts that make a computer. Be sure to learn about the Tower, CPU (Central Processing Unit), RAM (Random Access Memory), Motherboard, CD/DVD Drive, Hard drive, Power Supply, Fans and Heat Sinks, and Monitors.
There is a visual dictionary at the bottom of the page if you need a reference.

Level 1 - - - The 3 big ones
What are the 'big ones'? These are the three things that are the true essential parts to a computer. Without these things, a computer would not run. Do the practice activities to see what the three big ones are.

Level 2 - - - Review the big ones and add the other 5 big parts
What were the three big ones? Why are they important? (If you don't remember, go back to level 1 and watch those videos again!)

Level 3 - - - The peripherals, specifics and connections
Read up on the many, many peripherals you can add to a computer. A peripheral is something that's connected but not needed to make the computer run. Things like a keyboard, headphones, printers, mouse, etc. are examples of peripherals.
